Eating, cooking, independence -> Tower?

as with the first post and the response to Margaret's questions, I have been and probably will continue to excerpt from emails or other things for the blog (usually edited and optimized... haha).

i like food. and i like eating. (just ate a fabulous meal at a vegetarian indian restaurant with malcolm and jules (M&J; family friends living near me).) i also eat a lot of food. some tell me that's because all i eat is vegetarian food. who knows? . . .
. . . ahh, slow meals... that's what i'm talking about. good stuff. my meals here haven't but quite as slow as i would like often... though they are extended they aren't necessarily as relaxed as i'm usually doing or am involved in the cooking/preparation... often meals in our apartment are eaten while watching TV, so there isn't the same feel of hanging out while eating and chatting etc that i often enjoyed so much at school (and at home, back in the day). though i do feel more capable in terms of food preparation at this point (than i did a year or even a month ago), i'm now leaning strongly towards bickering Tower (an eating club, the one that I almost bickered last spring) when i get back (as opposed to being independent) due partly to the time and effort (and relative lack of variety) involved in cooking for oneself, but also because of how eating has become transformed from a break, a time of relaxation, socialization, even recreation... to a chore, almost, at times. though i know eventually in life that's the way it will be (to some degree), i think i'd like to maintain the positive aspect of food as long as possible, esp. while still in college. hmm...
